What is slub yarn?
Slub yarn is spun with deliberate thick-and-thin sections along its length, creating an irregular, textured surface in the finished fabric. Slubs can be subtle or pronounced depending on the effect you want.
Fancy and effect yarns
“Fancy yarns” is a broad family that includes slub, grindle, melange, marl and other novelty constructions. They are used where a flat, uniform yarn would look too plain.
