Every buyer wants lower cost without lower quality. Here are practical levers that do not compromise your fabric.
Match count to need
Do not over-specify. A slightly coarser count or the right combed vs carded grade can cut cost while still meeting the fabric’s requirement. Compare with the count converter.
Use the right spin
Open-end yarn is more economical for coarse counts (denim, towels); reserve ring-spun for where fineness and strength matter. Read ring-spun vs open-end.
Blend smartly
The right blend balances cost and performance — PC and CVC can hit a target hand at lower cost than pure premium cotton. Model it with the blend cost calculator.
Plan to cut waste
Accurate ordering avoids costly excess or shortfalls. Size with the requirement and garment yarn tools, and buy programme quantities for better pricing.
